Thanks for the question! Since we don't yet have any non-corporeal or energy beings in the game, we don't have a firm policy regarding them. Some important requirements that would have to be met are a) some sort of visual representation--such as icons--to fulfill the requirements for their application; b) they must be able to sufficiently communicate and interact with other characters on the ship. So if your intended character is Sam Wheat from Ghost, for instance, he would need to come from a period near the end of his canon after he learns to communicate with living characters (or Q would need to fix it so that he could). Since there are some energy beings that are hard for human characters to look at or otherwise interact with, apps would be handled on a case-by-case basis. All that having been said, we welcome any character app and are certainly not opposed to non-corporeal or energy beings. The Star Trek universe is well suited for them.

We'd love to hear more about the character if you've got a specific one in mind, and we will be happy to discuss implementing any workaround to facilitate them interacting with folks if that's a concern. Just email us at tenforwardmods@gmail.com with any questions and we'll work with you! Otherwise, please feel free to submit an app.
